The D'Arcy Lane Story

Back in the 1500's the Irish King James the IV was captured by the English. May Ously Blake Lane the oldest daughter of the lane family dresses up as a man and crossed the enemy lines and brought the Irish King back to safety.

For her bravery the King knighted her and gave her the family seal ring and the honorary name D'Arcy Lane. This right of succession was to be handed down to the oldest daughter of each of the Lane families.

My grandmother D'Arcy Lane was the last of that line. She in turn handed the name and the seal ring to my mother, who in turn handed it down to me. Having no children of my own, the D'Arcy Lane Institute is a tribute to my grandmother who instigated my interest in this field when I was a little girl. The seal ring has been duplicated and is available to each of our graduating students as their school ring.

The tradition lives on...We hope you will visit our facilities and enjoy your stay.

The three day week allows each student four days for self study. Homework given during the three days of classes is due the following week. Studying is more easily paced according to each student's needs throughout their four days off. Students can count on 30-40 hours of study on these four days off.
